Visual Artifacts in Unlikely Places

The largest collection of Browning artifacts, from furniture and locks of hair to collections of thousands of letters, is found in the Armstrong Browning Library at Baylor University (Waco, Texas).
The power of poetic inspiration was evident during my visit to the library on October 6, 2003.

The HRC

The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin houses some of EBB's earlier manuscripts, including "The Battle of Marathon," "Prometheus Bound," "Cry for the Children," and a collection of birthday odes. You can also find a letter from Harriet Beecher Stowe addressed to EBB, and EBB's and Robert's address books.
