Explorations in
Renaissance Culture

Explorations in Renaissance Culture is a biannual scholarly journal devoted to all disciplines of study in the Early Modern/Renaissance period: literature, history, art and iconography, music, gender studies, cultural studies, etc. Publishing articles in the English language, our authors have hailed from around the world (U.S., Canada, U.K., Israel, Australia, Spain, Germany) and include such well- known scholars as David Bevington, Barbara Bowen, John Shawcross, Paul Barolsky, David Bergeron, Norman Land, and Burton Raffel. We are fully refereed by a board of renowned scholars; a double-blind review process is used. In existence as an annual since 1974, Explorations in Renaissance Culture gained steadily in submissions and subscriptions and, in the auspicious year 2000, began to produce two issues per year (Summer and Winter of each calendar year).

Eric Knickerbocker of Missouri State University, in cooperation with Dr. James Baumlin, has made selected back issues of EIRC available online. Click here to browse the EIRC archives.
