A Change Will Do You Good

| I had entered the semester with the ignorance and stereotypical images I had grown up with, but I finished out the semester with a greater appreciation for the Native American population and the hardships they are still having to overcome. Although this class may not have altered all of my personal beliefs towards all other races and cultures, it has taken me a step in the right direction. I feel I will take from this course an awareness that stereotypes can be damaging, and in the future I will be more cautious as to not buy into them. Also, I think it would be highly beneficial for me to learn more about all other cultures in general, maybe then I will not have to rely on cheesy movies to educate me. Isn't that right, Two Socks! |
