The purpose of this class is to explore
the early feminists and their works from both a historical and a rhetorical
perspective. We will learn about an obscured but important piece of
history and will use early feminist texts to discuss rhetorical techniques and
improve our own compositions.
This is a writing-component class, and will entail a large number of writing assignments, both papers and short (~1-page) essays. It is also a computer-assisted class, which means that we will frequently work on computers, and your final paper will be presented as a web page.
