CWRL Lecture Series

screen shot of old CWRL web pageIn 1986, Jerry Bump and John Slatin wrote a pair of successful grant proposals to Project QUEST, netting a number of IBM PCs and the institutional support necessary to operate and maintain them. This was the beginning of what would eventually be called the Computer Writing and Research Lab.

Twenty years later, we celebrated the CWRL's current and past accomplishments with a lecture series to highlight the current work and past work of CWRL faculty. The 2006 series included lectures by Jerry Bump on virtual communities, Lester Faigley on visual rhetoric, and Peg Syverson on the Learning Record Online.

The 2007 lecture series will move the conversation outside the walls of the CWRL as we invite Victor Vitanza, Christoph Engemann, and Laura McGrath to present some of their current work. See the CWRL calendar for dates and times and for descriptions of these lectures.
