I insist these applications are useful, regardless of your theoretical or political approach. As
George Landow and Paul Delany also note, although hypertexts, in their freedom of
interconnection, might seem to "devalue" traditional historical approaches, "hypertext systems in
no way prevent those interested in reading by means of author and tradition from doing so" (17).
