This has little to do with Scientific Looking (on which I will post later in the weekend), but the conversation about Clint Eastwood's new film, Flags of our Fathers seems to parallel some of the conversations we have been having in class, and this article by David Thomson on the film is one of the more interesting ones I have read.

(Interestingly, though Thomson states that the photo was a fake, in a radio interview Eastwood states that the photo was genuine and unstaged.)
