Class ideas

Post your votes and/or suggestions here for what to do/watch/listen to/discuss in class. (We can also read something, but oddly enough, that doesn't tend to be a vote-getter.) Particular movies? TV shows? Radio programs? Music? etc...

What we do depends on a) what you say and b) what I can get my hands on before class!

I am fine with anything EXCEPT scary movie. I seriously can not take any scary movie because the images tend to stick with me FOREVER, so please NO scary movie, thanks!

I like Max's history movie idea. It would be amazing if we can watch 300 some how. Another idea I think would be interesting would be to analyze "youtube" and "college humor" videos and what they reflect about modern culture.

some ideas i have are:

Historical events being turned into movies i.e. Gladiator, 300, and Troy.

Sports movies i.e. Space Jam, Major League, and Air Bud.

Horror movies, maybe why the provoke the fears that they do.

Something about the Graduate? I've never seen it and have heard it is good.

Sports in general, the tools used in marketing them?
