Getting Started: Templates

If you're just beginning to design websites, we suggest starting with an accessible template. These templates are designed by CWRL staffers to be accessible, but also easy to understand and modify.

The templates range in complexity:

template_basic is your best bet if you're just starting out with web design. It's simple but attractive.

template_tables is a little more complex. It uses a table to provide a grid for structuring the page.

template_css uses Cascading Style Sheets to style and position elements. CSS is recommended for advanced users.

template_css_shtml is the most advanced template. In addition to CSS, it uses server-side calls to extract contextual information from the server.

All templates are in zipped archives. To open these, download them and double-click on the downloaded file.
