Converting MP3 sound
files to Quicktime for use on the web
- You need to use Quicktime
Pro
- Drag the MP3 sound
file icon onto Quicktime Player
- Select export from
the file menu
- Export movie to Quicktime

- Click on options.
Sound will be checked, other options will be grayed
- Click on settings
- Select compressor=Qdesign
music 2
- Select 16 bit stereo
- Click on options -sound
settings, from the bitrate popup menu select 48 kilobits
- Click OK
- Make sure prepare
for internet streaming is selected, and faststart is displayed in the popup
menu
- Click as OK
- In the file name space
of the dialogue box, make sure to save as "filename.mov"
On the web page, if you
want the sound to play as soon as the page loads, and do not want to display
the controller, the html tag should look like this (with your own sound
filename):
