“Our geographical knowledge, and even our commonest knowledge of the position of places,” is understood “by reference to the sides of our bodies.” The Sorbonne Projects
For my two class projects comparing and contrasting an Ancient European University with my own, I chose the Sorbonne in Paris. For Project 1 I visited the Sorbonne in 1550 and met up with Francois de Montcorbier, reknowned thief and student. We walked around his campus discussing architecture and student life and then we time-travelled back to UT in 2004.
