SWORD Self-Evaluation: Project 2

FOCUS: The purpose is clear and appropriate for the topic. The thesis is: “During the course of the nineteenth century, however, these ideas began to change as a result of the founding of the RSPCA and commentary and analysis from men such as Henry Salt and Charles Darwin.” The details are important and relevant to the topic and support the thesis along with good details from appropriate literature. Rating: 5

ORGANIZATION: The organization of the paper is pretty good, and all of the pictures work and are relevant to the text. There is definite order sustained throughout the paper and the introduction could be a bit more inviting, but is still intriguing. The conclusion could be stronger, maybe with the addition of new findings as a result of all of the research. There could also be a few more transitional elements throughout the paper. Rating: 5

FLOW: There is a pretty smooth flow throughout the essay. The writing is very clear and direct. There is some fluffy language, but this could be ironed out with further revision. The punctuation does not hinder the essay, but could be improved. The paper overall flows well, but a few transitions could be better. Rating: 5
