I moved to Texas when I was ten years old and have not left since. I love it here and wouldn't trade it for anything. This is my home now. One of the things I remember the most from my childhood in Texas was seeing snow for the first time. I remember waking up one morning and our yard was covered with a blanket of snow. I thought it was the coolest thing I have ever seen. I also remember driving somewhere with my grandparents. I saw bluebonnets, for the first time, as far as my eyes could see against the blue sky. It was the most beautiful scene I have ever seen.

I went canoeing once during high school. I enjoyed it immensely and hope to do it again soon. I love the sound of water flowing and the sound of water beating against the rocks. My group and I got tired of rowing after awhile so we thought we would have some fun and tie two canoes together. It only slowed us down.

I now live in
Austin and have been living here for four years. This is where I want to live for the rest of my life. I think it is so beautiful here. One of my favorite things to do is going to Lake Travis and relaxing in the sun. My friends and I enjoy going to Mt. Bonnell to watch the sun rise/set or to just enjoy the view.

This is a view from a winery near Lake Travis. I love watching sunsets. David and I were lucky enough to go outside in time to enjoy this one. I would love to live in a house near here and be able to see the sunrise and sunset everyday. There's just something about this peaceful view that makes me think that everything is as it should be.

David and I visit San Antonio once in awhile. One weekend we visited several old missions there. Some of them had very beautiful gardens. Being one with nature always makes me feel closer to God. This is one of those times.
