We're All Connected Through the Spider's Web

All webs are composed of fragile strands, but linked together they form an entire structure that is stable and strong. I compare my relationship with the natural world to the way a spider web is constructed. More than likely, we don't remember exact days or years that we made a certain memory, but our brain conjures up images when the simple word "autumn" is spoken. I think of the scent of chimney smoke, apple picking, birthday parties for my brother and me, and Friday night football games. All of these memories I mentioned define my idea of fall in upstate New York. They did not occur in any single year, but every year, and therefore are ever-present in my concept of autumn. Just as a spider's web is built up from single, fragile strands, I have created my impressions of the seasons that we encounter. I want to take you on a journey through my experiences with nature. Click on the insects that I have trapped in my "Spider Web of Experiences" to guide you through my documented relationship with nature.
