Nature In the Mind and Photography of Anne
Geddes
The work of Anne Geddes illustrates a modern
approach to appreciating both nature and our youth.
I feel her work captures the bonds between nature,
innocence, and children quite wonderfully. Her
pieces remind us of how easily children fit into
their natural surroundings. This oneness with
nature, fitting into nature, whatever you wish to
call it seems to be much more difficult to
do once you have lost that natural innocence and
wonder. Her photographs serve as a reminder to me
of just how much I would like to see nature with that
wide-eyed wonder and absolute innocence once again.
"In quiet corners of the garden, Mother Nature takes
care of her own." --Anne Geddes
These pictures always just make me feel good...it's
as simple as that.
