The first house I lived in was in Houston Texas near the Galleria. My most salient memory of that house was picking snails off the plants on the front lawn. My best friend and I would collect them. I also remember the day it snowed in Texas!
When I was six, we moved to Edwardsville, Illinois. We lived in that house that you see on the top there. My favorite part about this house was that we had a huge backyard with a tree that was taller than our house. I used to climb it every day in the summer. I also used to romp around in the fields behind our house and build forts and catch poison ivy. When I was thirteen, we moved back to Houston. My parents still live there today. The best thing about this house is that it has a pool that looks like the bear enclosures at the zoo. It has fake rocks and waterfalls!
I moved around a lot once I was in college. The first school I went to was Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. I lived in a co-ed dorm there named F.H.K. I lived in the "H"section called Hughes. The rooms were very small, and I had a roommate Erin who had the exact same birthday as me. We got along fine. At the end of the first semester, we had to move out of the dorm so it could be remodeled. I moved into a bigger dorm that had my own bathroom. My roommate this time was my suitemate from before. Her name was Jill and she was an exchange student from Australia. She was so much fun, and I am thankful that I went to A&M because I had the opportunity to meet her. She went back to Australia at the end of the year, and I moved into another dorm with a friend from high school. My favorite place at A&M was outside. I used to go on walks around campus and look at the buildings on different parts of campus. I also spent a lot of time at Freebirds, a burrito place. The next year I transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. I lived for one semester with my friend from high school. Then, I moved into the apartment that I live in now. The place I feel most comfortable now is at El Mercado on Lavaca and 17th. They make the best fajitas and you can get a $2.50 discount with your student I.D.
