April 22, 2004 The Source of Creativity |

|
To display my own creativity, I will make it a point to not to directly quote from another work. This is true discovery learning and I look to myself for answers. Creativity can be defined as a mere difference in thoughts and opinions or value of differences. A variety of opinions and differences come from a variety and difference in experiences. |
These differences and variety of experience, either good or bad, can bring about creativity. For instance, many musicians compose some of the greatest songs while high on weed. It’s sad, but it’s true. In this case, creativity is termed as the uniqueness of the situation which inspires you to create something that has not been perceived. I believe that creativity can also been seen another way: creativity is the ingenious linking of ideas, so that another may understand the impact immediately. Creativity is thinking in ways that no one else ventures to think about. For example, creativity is the ingenious use of a metaphor to explain how a machine operations. The source of creativity is ultimately the self. The self recollects memories which fuel creativity so those who have the most creativity are the people who have been exposed to the more situations or events. For example, I have a very creative friend who happens to read a lot. Not only is her thinking creative, but so are her dreams. In reading many books, she is exposed to the creativity of those writers; creative perpetuates through her though in a different, personal way. Regardless of who you are, creativity exists in each and every person though creativity levels vary: Ultimately, it boils down to who has experienced the most. |
