Assignment: Bring to class a visual representation of the most important "places" you have experienced over the course of your life...

I hadn't had an excuse to use my sewing machine since coming to college, and this project was my chance. Using a variety of different fabrics that I had brought along to school, I sewed pieces together in a quilt-like fashion, each square representing an event in my life. Each column represents an era of my life. From left to right:

San Antonio- I was born there and lived there for 7 years.
Boerne- I moved to Boerne in 2nd grade and lived there until 5th.
Victoria- I moved to Victoria in 5th grade and completed public education here.
Austin- College! UT Austin and my new home.
