Liz Wong’s Recreated Self-Evaluations
For P4A
- Focus
- I
felt that my paper was very focused, thanks in
large part to my structure. Every paragraph points back towards my thesis
as well as pointing forward to my future. My prose is clear and
appropriate to my topic. All of my quotes help to illustrate my points
and my ideal character.
- Rating:
6
- Organization
- I
feel that the organization in this paper was one the strongest points. I
chose a metaphor to bring it all together, and all of my paragraphs fit
into the structure well. I don’t think it was too long or short. Each
paragraph deals with one subject, and they have clear signposting in
intro and conclusion sentences. The intro is interesting and direct.
- Rating:
7
- Flow
- My
writing has always been clear and direct. I tried my best to avoid
“fluffy language” or “unclear language”. I also tried my best to make
every sentence relate back to my thesis.

6
For P4B

What was the most difficult in writing this draft? Trying to
incorporate all of the different elements people advised me to change.
FOCUS: 7 My thesis is very much
improved and comes earlier, and I improved the ways I relate back to it.
ORGANIZATION: 7 I improved the parallel structure of my
paragraphs, made them all the same length, and improved my transitions to be
more subtle.
FLOW: 6 I improved transitions, cut down unnecessary
amplifiers, and reworded unnatural sentences.
