As a student of the University of Texas at Austin, I need to improve many characteristics that distinguish a successful writer. I don’t consider myself a successful writer because I still need to learn different concepts of writing a successful paper. I need to focus my attention into revising the final draft as well as checking for grammar and word choice. ..  I always used to think that everywhere in a sentence there needs to be a comma so it can separate the subject and the predicate. What was I thinking?  Most of the time it is very hard to encode what I read, it is like if I am suffering from source amnesia.  What I notice is that every time I write a paper I state that same thing over and over. I loose the attention of the reader very quick because it takes time to think what to write. The positive aspect about me is that I never quit. It might take hours for me to finish a 500 word paper but at the end I know that the product will turn to be very successful. I think that I focus my attention too much on not making mistakes that I loose my awareness of writing a successful. Another aspect that distinguishes me as a great reader is my personality. I try to relate every story that I read into an event that happened in my life.  When I write a paper I don’t know how to start because I feel that everything that I think is nonsense. I need to improve every aspect that distinguishes a successful writer. I know that it takes time and effort to improve these qualities but with great perception I can mange to improve my writing abilities. I need to hammer my thoughts into unity when it comes into making decision. . To solve a problem I use many kinds of mnemonic devices which helps retrieve information outside my awareness. One type of mnemonic device in which it retrieves information easier and faster is chunking. Chunking which is the organization of units into a manageable fashion facilitates my memory to encode, store and retrieve information faster.  Being a writer takes effort and courage. A successful writer is positive about his writings. And when it comes into writing a paper, it is the job of the writer to make sure that the paper makes sense to the reader as well as to the writer.  Although I have learned many different kinds of concepts and ideas in which to apply, I can now face critical points in my life and adjust to these points within time. As a student I will dedicate myself into improving all the negative aspects about my character and try to focus more on the concept of what makes a really successful writer.
