What Human Intelligence has taught me: I know that your emotions are very important and sometimes override your mind in critical situations. Your emotional intelligence is just as important as your intelligence quotient (I.Q.). Daniel Goleman does a wonderful job explaining this theory is his book. I have learned many new ways of coping, dealing with my feelings, and the consequences of what happened when people didn't learn how to cope.

Words of Advice: Read the book, Emotional Intelligence! Click here for a quick summary.

Take the time each day to slowly breathe in and out because it has such awesome effects when you're stressed. I think laughter also has relieving effects on a stressed person. So be like Elmo and jump for joy at every opportunity you get! I also think that knowing your own feelings behind your actions enable you to understand yourself and from there you can start helping your loved ones with their problems. Last of all, EXPRESS YOUR EMOTIONS. Don't bottle it up inside of you because in the long run it will have more detrimental effects on you.
