Maybe its so damned hard to write happy stuff when "the fact is that things change" and, unfortunatly, the progress and evolution of the human race has been a devolution. We've gone from peaceful foragers living with the earth and in cooperation with others to capitalist warmongers with enough firepower and resolve to kill the world 98 times over.
