Turtle pond

Leaning on the trunk of the tree, I am trying to describe the scenery of the biological pond. The pond seems to have an eclipse shape. In the pond, a few rocks are protruding out the surface of the water. On each of the rock, there is a turtle on the top of the rock. I believe they are the parents of the little turtles, which lies on top of their parents' shells restlessly. During that time when I am writing my description of the scene, the wind blows furiously. Thus, it creates many ripples on the pond and causes the pond look more dynamic. Watching carefully, I see different turtles are doing different types of relaxation. One turtle is sitting on the rocky edge, which surrounds the pond. This turtle is posing in a strange style. His four feet are sticking out of the shell. He seems like he is trying to dry his body. Although the rocky edge that he is sitting on is such a thin fringe, and with the strong blowing of the wind, he still poses in a steady form without any movement. Next to the pond, there is a tree, and the branches are shadowing the pond. Sometimes, I see leaves are falling from the branches and it fell on pond and created ripple. If I were a turtle, I would wonder why human beings are always rushing. Looking at the turtles, they are lying on the rock, and they seem to be extremely relaxed. They give me a feeling that they never have to worry about anything and they can do whatever they want. They do not have to worrying about the fast pace of life like us. Sometimes being a turtle is somewhat great, I believe if I am a turtle, I am sure that I do not need to study all the time. I can lie on the rock and do my widest daydream as long as I want. Spring is coming. I can see the branches are sprouting out leaves or budding out new branches. The winter cycle end, and the spring starts. Everything starts again. Looking at the side of the pond, I see a son is walking around the lake, and his father is teaching him news things that he observes. The scene of father's caring and teaching to his son is very interesting because I think there are many ways that we can find in nature that is familiar to this father and son scene which is happening now. I think it is like we are living in nature, and nature is the parents of us, the human beings. In the nature's standpoint, we human being are totally insignificant. If we humans keep ruining nature, which mean we humans are going to be destroyed because nature is the one the shape us and help us to evolve in the evolutionary pathway. "Nature can act on every internal organ, on every shade of constitutional difference, on the whole machinery of life. Man selects only for his own good: Nature only for that of the being which she tends, every selected character is fully exercised by her, as is implied by the fact of their selection." (course package341) Nature always tries to tell us something, but unfortunately, we neglect him, and do not listen to what he is trying to say. Some people even think the nature is being ruined, not by human but by itself. However, "the Lord is no longer the chief culprit, which only adds to the common instinct for misfortune. We have altogether too much to be responsible for."(Slovic 163) I truly believe we humans, as a part of the nature, should be more responsible of what we are doing. I guess the only way to compensate this is to come to nature, and feels what is like to be part of the nature in the earth.
