Biology Pond Right now, I am sitting on a piece of grassland that is next to the pond. I feel like different because it seems like we are the only people who are willing to take a break and enjoy writing in a very comfortable weather. The wind is blowing to my face and is giving me a very fresh sensation. Also, we are looking at people walking hurrily for particular reasons. Sitting here and looking at them makes me feel that I am watching a film. In this film, people are doing different sorts of things. Moreover, they make me think that I am often one of the casts who is acting in the movie during my lifetime without my realization. I am wondering why I have to be in such a hurry all the time. Since I was young, I have spent my life rushing through everything. I feel like that I am a hollow man without any desiring purpose and my life have no differences compare with a machine. It would be great if I can slow down my life slightly. Sometimes ignorance can be a great. Looking at the turtles, I feel jealous of them. The turtles are sitting at side of the pond and without knowing exactly what they are doing and without complicate thoughts. They seem like they are ignoring everything that is surrounding them. If I am a turtle, I will feel so relax and without any worry. Life without worry is a wonderful thing, and this is the happiness that I am planning to pursuit. Nowadays, we live in a technological society. Although science indeed helps us a lot in the society, I believe we also should focus on the spirit of our living being and our nature. In the quote, p390, "Science and spirit of emulation those are the forces that have made us what we are." It said we should focus on the unity, which is the combination of science and spirit that has created in the nature. I believe only if we keep pursing the unity in the universe, can we find out the meaning of our role and the meaning of nature. The only way to pursue unity is to explore nature. "It is true, we are but faint-hearted crusaders, even the walkers, nowadays, who undertake no persevering, never ending enterprises. Our expeditions are but tours, and come round again at evening to the old hearth-side from which we set out. P190" From this quote, we can see that we should be more adventurous. We should not stay in the same condition. We see more and become a better observant. If we keep explore, we might learn something new and interesting. Thus by doing this, it can definitely enrich our life.
