Katie, That is cool that you were able to get so much out of that pond environment. There are very few times when I actually "experience" nature (for lack of a better word). Sadly, it was way too noisy and busy at the ponds for me to explore nature with all of my senses like you were able to. It is an amazing experience when one gets that feeling of being a part of the whole in the Earth.
