littlefield house

I am not sure what I am actually supposed to be writing about the Littlefield House. So far I have learned that it was constructed in a Gothic Style, and after reading about what makes a building have Gothic Architecture I can see how the Littlefield House does. First of all not all of the columns match. Some a fat and thick with a grey shade to them, and others are thin and green. At places two columns line up, but then there are other places where there is a single column by itself. The two towers on the top of the house and the color pattern of the tiles on the roof also vary. Parts of the house have a round shape, like the towers at the front of the house, but most of the structure is square. The bricks on the bottom of the porch do not match the bricks on the house. The lower ones are rough, wavy, and have a larger shape, and the ones on the house look like regular bricks. The colors of the bricks also fail to match. This mismatch appearance of the house makes it look very interesting and quite beautiful. The main thing of the Littlefield House that catches my eye is the windowless window on the front tower. It has a circular frame made of the same brick that was placed below the porch, and this makes the frame stand out against the other brick on the house. The frame is split horizontally by a thick white line, and this line also surrounds the outside of the frame separting the two bricks of the house and the window. In the middle of the frame where glass should be there is only brick. The same brick on the house, whick is different the the frame. I wonder why this is here? What is it's purpose? Was it a mistake, or part of the architect's design? Whatever the answer is all I know is that it is very interesting and a special part of this house to me. Another variation that the house has is that the window shades in the windows are different on each part of the house. Most of the shades are a dark wooden brown except for on the left side of the house where the shades are white. The porch on the right side of the house is surrounded by a green iron fence with a natural look to it. The design in the fence and the color gives it this natural appeal. The porch on the left side of the house is surrounded by thick studdy white columns. The only other parts of the house that I can see that is white besides the window shades and columns I mentioned above are the steps leading up to the house. The mixture of color on the house is amazing. It is not complicated or full of many colors, but it still provides the house with a wonderful look. The light grey, two shades of red, creamy white color, and green mix together perfectly so that one color does not stand out any more than the next. When I look closer at the two columns I notice little iron sculptures or wind chims on top of them. These are made of the green iron and also have a naturalistic appeal to them. One of the two seems to have leaves surrounding it.
