I enjoyed the wholist view of history and man's invovlement with the creek. Even though I'd prefer that Waller remain prostine and untouched by human hands, I think I've come to appreciate it in its unnatural environment. I think your point about the unnatural world being neccessary for the beauty of nature to show up is true as well.
