Discuss “Starting With What Others are Saying,” “The Art of Summarizing,” and “As He Himself Puts It.”  Discuss/present responses. Discuss intended audiences.

Topic Proposal Paper 2. Bring the article you plan to write about.

Week 11

Discuss topic proposals and rhetorical analysis of articles.
Topic Proposal for Paper 2 Due Today.
HW: Continue research and work on Paper 2.
**For Wednesday’s class, bring in a printed copy of your selected article for Paper 2 and have an outline or list of answers to the questions in your handout “What’s a Rhetorical Analysis?” (email me if you need a copy of the handout).
