ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Austin Swinburn, and I'm a student at the University of Texas at Austin. I write and draw the strip Kane Walker, Geriatric Freshman for the
Daily Texan, our school's student paper. In addition to the strip and this page, I'm currently working on a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's Mason and Dixon.

My illustrations and cartoons have also appeared in the High Beam, the newsletter of ATU local 1549 and The Working Stiff Journal.

I have published a mini-comic, Symbolic Romance, an experimental love story told non-verbally. It was panned by "You Send It, We Review It," in the website for The Comics Journal. But I showed them! They spelled my name wrong! Still available at Austin area comics stores and by mail, just in case you don't know how to print out.
