UNIQUELY WEB COMICS
This is the complete art and text of Mind Game, a story by Dave Sim published in his monthly comic book Cerebus. Originally printed in 1979 or '80, by Aarvark Vanaheim press, all artwork, text, and characters are tm and c Dave Sim. The amazing thing about this comic is that the 20 pages comprise a single image of the protaganist, which in printed form is impossible to see in its entirety. Even if you tear the book apart, images on the backs of the pages are out of sight. What I've done is scan in the pages, performed a minor amount of cropping and aligning, and loaded the entire thing into one huge web page that can be read by scrolling across the screen. I've also made a second miniature version that can almost be seen in its entirety with most computer screens.
My first foray into self publishing! In December of 1997, I wrote and drew this 16 page minicomic over the course of a weekend. I had Ginny's make 100 of them, and sent them out to a bunch of friends as a christmas present. I also sent out some to a few of my favorite comics artists. My friends seemed very impressed, anyway. I can hardly stand to look at it anymore - it was a huge rush job, and my ambition clearly overreached my craft on this project. Even so, I had to include it on here, just for the sake of completeness. It's included here as a set of quicktime files.
I've drawn a few editorial type cartoons and band flyers. You can see them here.
