Tonya's

Greetings fellow travelers on the virtual highways of imagination funny, I always thought that referred to *people who read books.* I was a grad student at The University of Texas at Austin where I worked & taught in the Computer Writing and Research Labs. I've been working in software development since completing my degree. I still teach courses in the Society, Technology and Society concentration. All in all, it was a great way to spend a few years. Please be warned, this site is for archival purposes ONLY.

Check out my personal motto stuff if you like. I was assistant director of the CWRL in 1997, and I taught an American Literature course in the Spring. I taught E309M: Computers and Writing in spring of 96. There is some work posted for your perusal. I taught E309K: Writing About Cyberpunk in the Fall of 95. I loved the course. Bruce Sterling gave a talk & we took a tour of Origin Games here in Austin. Check out the site if you're interested. I taught E306 students (freshman level composition course) in 1994 and 1995. They created some interesting projects (remember, these are the early days of the web). I also have a page about a course I took years ago The Poetics of New Technologies.

Thanks for stopping by!
