Here are some older ARCHIVE docs
- The first is a link to a hypertextual paper called Embedded Visuals: Student Design in Web Spaces.
This can also be found in a different
format on the Kairos Web Journal site.
The ones that follow were converted from hard copy.
- The first conversion is a paper entitled Algorithmic Complexity in English Studies. This served as
a precursor for my interests in complexity theory.
- The second paper is
about Elizabeth Barrett Browning's Aurora Leigh.
- The third paper is excerpted from my master's report written in 1993.
It's a short history of Women Writers of Science Fiction.
There is a longer and more complete version published
on the Forecast E-zine site (November 97 issue).
- I'm also including some information about the L.W. Currey Collection in the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center. It's
a science fiction/fantasy collection at UT-Austin that is quite extensive.
Below is the
text version of a handout on Design and the WWW that I give my undergraduates.
This is still being edited to include more color/sound/image examples. There
are some other handouts included:
- Design Guidelines for the WWW (basic)
- General Interface Guidelines (HTML version of hard copy handout)
- General Data Formats (HTML version of handout)
- Description of an American Literature Course using
Director as the hypertext authoring platform
