Snow Crash is a novel by Neal Stephenson about a future world in a state of confusion and decay. It is a revolutionary story because it is decidedly cyberpunk in its form and so addresses our present concerns about the world's technological and social progression as we catapult into the twenty-first century.

My summary and critique page does just that, sums up the book and gives my thoughts on it . Then there's the Responses page, which is what my other classmates in my Cyberpunk Fiction class thought of the book. I've also got a "Wired" interview with Stephenson and a sound bite of "Are the science fiction visions of William Gibson or Neal Stephenson coming true?"(be patient, this one takes a little time to load). You can read up on Y.T. and Hiro, the main characters in Snow Crash. Or you can see some more of my thoughts on the overall themes in Snow Crash as well as how they are pervasive in all of Stephenson's work. And my classmates wouldn't mind your visiting their sites: you can either delve into Stephenson's new novel The Diamond Age or learn about the viruses in Snow Crash from two different people's points of view. It's up to you.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to e-mail me. I won't even start to claim that I am a Stephenson expert, so if you've got something that you think could make this site better, let me know and I'll upload it as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for visiting!
