One point that I wanted to make is that I feel I couldn't, in my paper, say the fact that if you kill a convicted felon, I don't think s/he really cares about life in the first place. So why would threatening a criminal with death have any affect on them? They have no reguard for other people's life, they are murderers. They'd propably rather take the quick, easy, final punishment that is death, than the long, drawnout and slow punishment that is life imprisonment.
