My paper "Opposing the Death Penalty" focuses on several reasons why I feel that the death penalty is an inadequate form of criminal punishment as opposed to life imprisonment. It also includes a brief overview of the proponents views as well.
Dustin Cox:
"Justice in Retribution" briefly examines some key arguments by opponents to capital punishment such

justification for the use of capital punishment by opposing these arguments.
Edward Laijas:
This is a pro capital punishment paper. Capital punishment is needed because:
Abel Martinez:
"Death of a Criminal" is paper for the death penalty. You will read how it is more economical than life
imprisonment and how it is fair, especially to those victims.
Jessica Spinler:
"Just Do It Right" suggests several arguments on how the death penalty is a justified form of punishment for
murderers. The main reason for its justification is maximizing public safety through a form of incapacitation
and deterrence.
Jana Wofford:
This paper looks at the death penalty from a different angle. The moral question of whether the death penalty
is right or wrong is not an issue in this discussion. Rather, the death penalty as a tool of punishment and its
effectiveness or ineffectiveness becomes the focus of this paper. Major topics include the abuse of the appeals
system by death row inmates, the deterrence argument, and the costs involved in the death penalty system.
Xavier (Frankie) Yanez:
Analyzes the different methods of killings used in cases of capital punishment. Illustrate
why all the current methods are barbaric and why they seem to defy the U.S. constitution.
