Welcome to the home page dedicated to making clear the many benefits and
misconceptions which surround the hemp plant and its flowers, also known as marijuana. This page will also
show the role the government has played and could play with the distribution and use of this drug and the
plant it comes from.
The plant which marijuana comes from is the hemp plant. This plant has been used by civilizations all over the world for countless things and has a long history. The many benefits of this plant could not be more appreciated than they could be today.
A major reason why marijuana is still kept illegal in the United States is due mainly to all of the
misconceptions as to the harms of the drug. When the government began its crusade to stamp out the use of
marijuana in the 1970's, now known as Reefer Madness II, many myths were created. The majority of these myths
have since been disproven. The real harms of marijuana are minmimal compared to
those of legal substances such as alcohol or tobacco. The truth about marijuana and its use is getting out
though. The Family Council on Drug Awareness has even put out a flyer for parents, students and teachers to
learn from.
