Infrastructure

A crumbling infrastructure is another problem facing Americans today. Every time we finish building a new roadway or railroad track, a new one is needed. An insufficient number of funds make it difficult for the federal budget to allocate money for new projects.

There are many benefits from financing infrastructure projects. Every $1 billion that is used to finance a project creates nearly 50,000 jobs in construction and other service related industries (Hinte 24). An Economic Policy Institute study indicates that a one time investment of $20 billion dollars would raise the nation's business output by $13 billion each year thereafter (Hinte 24).

The funds spent on foreign assistance programs can be of great benefit to ifrastructure and the areas that infrastructure effects.
