Course Goals
To master basic concepts in rhetoric and be able to apply those concepts to composition and analytical reading
To learn or reinforce important compositional skills and techniques
To enhance self-reflection about the writing process
To learn to detect rhetorical strategies in different mediums and different kinds of texts, especially visual & internet texts
To hone critical thinking skills
NOTE: Students with little computer experience are welcome - all necessary
computer skills will be taught. Students who wholeheartedly loathe computers, on the other hand, may want to consider taking a non-computer variant of RHE306
