This website contains 5 web lessons that will allow you to build a multi-page website.  It covers all of the most essential HTML tags, including the code for tables, lists, images, and text formatting.  The site was originally constructed for the students in my Rhetoric/English classes at the University of Texas and is geared towards classroom use.

In addition, it contains what is essentially a 6th lesson, "Doo-dads," which teaches a few fun supplementary skills.

Web 1 covers the basic page tags, plus headings, text formatting, links, and instructions for setting up a Geocities account.

Web 2 covers making it pretty:  background colors and tiles, inserting images, &c.

Web 3 covers lists and advanced text formatting tags.

Web 4 covers tables.

Web 5 covers accessibility.

Web 6 covers frames

Doo-dads covers sound, counters, & other enhancements [more later]

This site includes a gallery of background tiles and pictures that you can practice with in constructing your pages.

The definitions page is a brief glossary of basic internet vocabulary.

Finally, the links page is a list of essential resources for webbies (hexadecimal color charts, HTML tag glossaries, background galleries, and the like).
